In Korea, Playing Beta
I see that you guys made a sticky on the dude that is playing beta. I think you should make my thread a sticky too, I am completely fluent in Korean/English, and I'm lvl 22 right now. Ask away any questions you may have about this game.
PS - I would like to say I am a huge blizzard fanboy (WC franchise, Diablo franchise, SC franchise, WoW (got up to warlord, failed @ high warlord though)) I consoles I own right now are PS, PS2, PS3, NES, SNES, N64, Wii, Xbox360. I love FPS (a huge CS fan) and out of the thousands of games I have played in my life, this is hands down, no thinking twice, the BEST GAME I HAVE PLAYED EVER IN MY LIFE. Never have I spent 15 hours and 13 minutes at an internet cafe straight before.
Now that my thread is up, I'll post some stuff about the game.
You start by picking a Race. Saipen or Alternative.
Then you pick either a male or female on each side, male and female having differnet abilities. ( Kind of like WoW, how each race has a unique ability, such as undead being able to stay in the water longer ) Then you give your char a name, change hair, haircolor, etc, again, kinda like WoW.
After your char is made, you go into trainign mode. There is a training base, and after your done with training (how to shoot, stand, run, duck etc) you go to your first town, and the quests begin.
You have a mini-map, that looks like a radar on your upper right side, shows what NPC's there are near you. You see a Q for quests (yellow Q meaning a quest you can get that u havent completed, a blue Q for a quest that you completed, you go to the NPC with the blue Q to get ur quest completed) You press M for the main map, it shows the current world your in.
The FPS controls are all the same, universal, I must say. A S D W to move forward, left, right etc, space bar to jump, you get the point.
Now this is where the game is so unique and insane. (insane seems like the right word) Remember this is an MMOFPS, meaning you lvl up while killing enemies, going to arenas, etc. Everytime you kill an enemy, a number with + BP, for example +11 BP comes up. BP is your experience, I'm not sure what BP means exactly, but I'm guessing battle points. When your BP reaches max bar, u lvl up. You can upgrade your weapons/armor, but you must be careful, if you fail your weapon/armor can disappear. You need Lunalight artifacts to upgrade your weapon, and each time you upgrade ur weapon/armor, you need more and more material of different variety.
The cinematics are straight clownin. (clownin also seems like the right word) I am playing with Ge-Force 9800 GT graphics card, 750 HD, 4 gigs ram, quad core processor, and it STILL sometimes lag spikes once in awhile. This is the most insane graphics I have seen in a game, whereas the game ACTUALLY LOOKS ALMOST LIKE THE CINEMATIC SCENES ITSELF.
There is so much shit to this game I can't really think of it all and definately can't jot down everything I've experienced in one thread, so feel free to ask questions.
Oh, and lastly, they called it the 'grand opening' for huxley which was released june 27th our time. Koreans are so impatient and shit no game ever deleted open beta chars when the real thing came out, so this is pretty much the real thing. (Even WoW, they didn't even delete out chars down here, so opening day of WoW everyone was lvl 55+) So you can expect an accurate review of the actual game, or damn close to the actual game by asking me
