The launch off the website is a classic Korean style, check out Holic, Infinity, SUN, GunZ, aswell as most of ijji games, they all launch off of websites :P.

As for the repair issues, it is also a part of some MMO's, it is a pain in the ass, but it isn't that uncommon in Korean MMO's (Mabinogi).
