well in another game i played they were called killmarks and they were almost worthless till u had over like 200 of them
a killmark of a lvl 72 was about 3k money or xp wich was like nothing because most missions gave over 50kmoney and 1 mark would be about .01%
but if u were a good player you could get lots of them and most would save till they had 200+ then eat or sell them all
