Probably the best way to go
At the very least I'd wait a month or two after the game comes out and then get some real feedback and watch some videos to see how the game turned out.
For me, every time I figure out that Huxley isn't going to be quite how I imagined it, I just get more excited that it's offering something I wasn't expecting.
I mean, I love all the FPS that have been released lately (CoD4, BF2142/BF2 mostly) and I love that they added little RPG qualities into their games.
But now that the more realistic shooter has added some RPG qualities, why not have some unrealistic games throw in RPG qualities.
That's more of a new idea than just expanding on the idea of an MMO Battlefield 2142 type game. It's really something none of us expected (most expected a Planetside clone), and I'm excited to see what it has to offer.
