Ping has a big effect on FPS games. I used to ping around 200 and you have to compesate
alot, you can get semi good with it but you won't excell until you get your ping below 100. Its really annoying when you empty a clip into someone at point blank and miss every shot because your pings to high- you see your enemy on the screen but in real time reality he has moved on.
Or you dive behind a sandbag and still get blasted because the server has not yet registered your dive but your client has so it looks like your being shot through the walls.
There's no way to make it fair to ppl who have high ping they must compensate their aim or use strategies that require less accuracy like remote explosives or something that takes them away from a 1vs1 gunfight they will lose against someone with lower ping most of the time.
If you play FPS PVP a good connection is a must.
