I'm also a fan of the dropship kind of thing, quick strike and destroy everything in sight. Or even a little APC or jeep that holds 4 people (1 squad), same idea just cruising on the ground instead of in the air.
But, for my vehicle, I'll go with some kind of tank, or smaller vehicle with a gun on it...basically any vehicle that has a gun on it (ground vehicle preferred). I'll treat it basically the same way as a dropship but instead of dropping off soldiers, I'll send my bullets and bombs into the battle.
Example:
Theres an area that's snowballing into being a huge battle, people are calling in dropships to bring in more troops, so I head over with my tank (or smaller vehicle with stuff that explodes in a fire ball of destruction).
And basically just set up to support the main fight. not necessarily sneaking around and trying to out maneuver the enemy, but rather to be part of the backbone of the battle. Maybe even just focusing on one area, kind of throwing down cover fire for everyone.
That way we can come at them in different ways: dropships full of players coming in, as well as tanks and jeeps coming in to back everyone up.
