Huxley Gameplay
I hear people talking of an open beta and i know for a fact one will be released, its not a matter of if but when. My main concern is mostly about how the game will be played. I have been folowing the development for about 3 years now and am very excited about its release. However, lately I have been haveing second thoughts about huxley. One is about the unreal engine that basicly the graphics aswell as physics come from. If you recall all the games that run off this engine you will find not too many were any fun to play. Ofcourse all the UR games ran from whats basicly versions of the UR engine with the 3rd one being the latest. One game comes to mind and thats Gears of War, but that game doesnt count cause it is console based therfore played well on the 360. I recently played the new UR3 for ps3, at first i was stoked but soon relized that the game wasnt very console friendly. The FPS of the console age implies analog into the controles where as pc controles are too sensitive. What made UR3 was that the controles werent very stable. A push slightly to the right and u didnt turn fast enough, but a quik push was; well too fast. The combination of the up/down sensitivity wasnt in balance with the left/right sensitivity. Its a science that is sometimes overlooked, mostly in multi-platformed games such as huxely. I hope the best for this ground breaking project, I am thrilled yet still unsure about what to expect.
