I would argue that a "slow"-paced fps demands more skills and tactical awareness, but I'll settle with that there is just different type of skills needed.
When we're talking about "slow" we're not thinking of UT with the speed turned down. We're talking about a lot less "forgiving" and random fps. For example, Rogue Spear there are/where no "respawn" and you die of 1-3 hits (depending on weapon, armor and where the bullet hit). And speed, AIM and coolness is everything. If your first shot on target is 0.01 sec faster then your opponent, you win and he'll loose. And it wont be just 10 sec waiting for the next respawn. Have you seen Sin City? where Bruce Willis is aiming from his car in the car chase? He takes his aim before he gets his shot in, while the shooter in the car following is "just" spraying bullets.
Anyways.. the discussion is not about if its too fast for us to handle, its if the speed and the type of fps that Huxley seems to be will make it more "random" and more "luck-based" than tactical.
