It would be a dumb move to put up a fee on the first person shooter crowd. FPS players don't pay to play, and putting up a fee will only drive away the general players.
You all are just a small community, not even the majority who play RPGs along with FPS. You all know how all this works and how servers must be run and etc, however, the normal FPS player doesnt give a crap why, he just is gona go oh well I will just go play another game.
Lets look at the greatest FPS games out there. Halo's, CoD's, and the battlefield series. Not one of them makes you charges to play, yet they make some of the biggest bank in the entire business. There is no need now a days for a fee to run a MMO, it is being proven all over now-a-days. So if they decided to make it free and they go through with making a great FPS, then this game will have the possibility with ranking with the best. Slapping that fee will only drive people away and lose their interest in playing this game, no matter how good it is.
I feel that is something Webzen isnt trying to do, and judging by their history this should have no fee. I am not just saying this becuase I hate monthly fees, but becuase it just makes sense. Why target an audience that has never payed to play and say hey guess what you will finally have to pay us, they are just gona go yeah u make me I just wont buy.
