I re-read an interview that talked about the player housing a few days ago, and that got me all excited again haha. I forgot that we will get some kind of housing whether it's only guild housing or player housing. Along with that I'm wondering if you'll be able to customize your house. So far Huxley has shown to be pretty good on the customization side of the game, and a customizable house would make it that much better.

if anyone has played Star Wars Galaxies, you can basically do anything in that game lol. You can buy a house, and then buy a whole bunch of stuff to put in that house, anything from couches to tables/chairs/lights/rugs, and even a fountain if you really wanted to :D (I did). I'm hoping Huxley will have something like that, just so I can kill some time if I don't feel like fighting or anything.

Back to topic though. Since we really don't know much about the main mechanics of the game, we can't really know if sitting afk in a battle will do the afk player any good. You might need to actually get out there and capture some zones or kill some people to get points. But then again I'd assume you'd get some points if your team wins the battle so that might be enough to persuade some afkers to join.

But hopefully, with this being an FPS, more people will sign onto the game to actually have fun, instead of signing on for the sole purpose of leveling the character. Hopefully Huxley won't be one of those games where people start taking it so seriously it becomes a second job and they're willing to do anything to improve their character (including going afk all day in battles). Hopefully people play Huxley because it's actually fun, leaving no reason to just sign on and go afk in hopes of getting a new pair of boots or something.
