Well there will be instances, but the outcome of the battle will still affect the persistent world. Like if you capture a certain area or win a battle you may get some lunarites which I'm not exactly sure how they work but I'm pretty sure you can use/sell them for money.

But yes, this game is definitely not counter strike. There is a war between the two races and there will be winners and losers. It would just be kind of hard to make an MMOFPS with huge battles if they didn't use instances. Especially in an FPS like Huxley where there are going to be explosions and rockets flying all over the place, they need a way to control it.

I just hope they set the game up well enough so it feels like an open world instead of just picking a map, loading, and then fighting. Hopefully it'll be more like you have to travel to the battlefield, go through a door/portal or something and then join the fight.
