It's just for bragging rights pretty much. 
So you can be a lv50 with uber guns and a 2/40 KD ratio. That won't effect your level but only your standing on the ladder with other lv50's.
And I'm sure if you ended up with the most kills through out the whole battleground fight, you might get an EXP bonus or something. It's only fair. That's my two cents. |
Yeah I'd hope that ranking actually wouldn't affect your level. I'm not that bad of an FPS player and I do think that skill (not time spent) should be the deciding factor of who wins or loses, but if someone plays for a while they should eventual reach the level cap, and by then I'm sure they'd become at least a decent player anyway.
I really do hope they get creative with ranks and stuff. I don't really want them to have a purpose, besides being just for fun.
I'd love to see a level 50 running around with a label above his head that says "born to die" or something that says he dies a lot lol. I don't know. I'm sure they could think of lots of creative things.
