Well this is a video game. So who cares about technical terms and how things work in real life?
And who says you can't drop into an urban area? Especially in a video game taking place in the future, I'm sure they can do anything they please.
It is after all about fun, and jumping out of a dropship into some hostile territory sounds pretty fun to me.
There are also screenshots of forested areas. And just because we've seen mostly urban fighting doesn't at all mean that's all the game will have. That's probably just the map they've done most of their testing on so that's what we see.
