As for cross-platform play, Mark Rein from Epic Games said that upon UT III's release, you will not be able to compete against console players and vice versa. This is mainly due to the fact that they will be releasing patches to fix bugs/exploits and those patches have to be approved by Sony before being released on the PS3, where as the PC does not require such approbation (ex: Microsoft). He did mention that the Unreal 3 engine does support cross-platform play and that it might happen when both platforms reach a stable version. |
