Considering Huxley won't be out until well into next year, there's no doubt waiting = $$ saved. By the time it's released you'd be looking at affordable DDR3, new chipsets, new vid card releases, new cpu releases, and of course PSU/cases so virtually the whole market will have refreshed.

Personally the only reason I upgraded so soon was for UT3 (and to try out Bioshock/Crysis/ETQW).
