It's how an "in game economy" works, that's just how it goes.
Gold Farming is someone who participates in this "in game economy", and very aggressively, but then instead of using the money they earned themselves they go and sell it to someone in real life who hasn't done crap for real money which makes it unfair to those of us who have been working hard for our in game money.

lol my bad. Both lead to increased prices. And it's still annoying. New story then:
Guy buys a bunch of gold online. and pays top price for everything he buys. Then prices go up because people start to expect more money for their items.

and yeah sure it's inevitable. It doesn't mean we should just sit there and take it. There might be some way to control it. And why not try? It would be really nice to play a game where everyone has to work equally to get their items. So when you see someone all decked out in the best gear etc. you know they really worked for it.
I'm probably just dreaming though
