These days big project deadlines never are respected. All construction projects (especially governmental) are always really late. Games for the most part are always pushed back. Movies pushed back... you could go on forever.
It's like a long car trip (try 7-12 hrs or 3+ if you're traveling with kids) asking "Are we there yet?" isn't going to get you there any faster. Same with these types of things. The best way to go about it is to find something to do while you're waiting. Read a book, play a game, screw around with linux... lots of things I do. You could play DnD
or play
Liberal Crime Squad.
