I'd rather believe that skill called "health scan" is used on enemies so you could know witch will die first from your shoot, i also noticed in some videos on leftdown corner a message "no squad" or "squad" and right under this message you have displayed the health of your squad members.

I guess many have seen this but ill do my job and post, here i found the largest Huxley movies pool (all are from E3 and trailers)
