Default Re: Why I Don't Think I Will Be Buying Huxley Anymore

Well i got some things to say...
Van Crackin, you spoke of a mage you are about to kill then somebody else comes. Well in this game it's not about your in-game skills like having "Fireball" and such that depends on how good you are, it's your skills at FPS games. For me i go play BF2142, some conquests map i see many neenmies i shoots all i can then i go around corner reload jump out and shoot the rest. Then in the end of the round i look at my score i have 80 points but rest of the team barrely have over 20. So it's very big difference from MMORPG cause in this game you can target a player and use a skill like "Stun" for example, you just simply shoot till he dies. If more comes hide for a sec and take them both from behind. FPS is all about YOUR skills not your CHARCTERS skills. Of caurse the skills in this game will give you more advantage if you have them but they are more like passive skills in MMORPGs.

As far as i've heard that the start of the game (lets say till lvl 10) is mainly based on PvE (quests) but after that it's both and in the end is pure PvP on Battle Zones. Not sure why you are so worried about having little PvP cause to me it seems that, that's the only thing they talk about, so lots of PvP there will be.

You said it's like big FPS instead of MMOFPS, well MMO means Massively Multi Player Online, so that speaks for itself. MMORPG it's simply big RPG. So yeah you are right but you have a different understand of what it is. You just simply can't compare Huxley to MMORPG. All thoughit will have many RPG features, like trading and questing and lots of other stuff that we dont know of. Like how appertments work grouping and lots of other stuff. Never seen a FPS where you get a quest to fight mobs in multi player and you get awarded with items or money, maybe something else. So Huxley will be MMOFPS, cause 5k players per server is Massively enough for me.

Also people spoke of classes, well for me as mage lover, i dont like when RPGs have many classes, too many. I mean there are bunch of mages called Sorcerer, Wizzard, Summoner, Shaman, Necromanser and bunch of others. Which makes is hard to choose but they are almost all the same only little bit different. So for me it's better have few class to make it more easy for noobs to choose what they want and not only understand later in game what it was that they wanted. Plus I believe that in Huxley as they mentioned in one of the interview that i've translate from chinese or japanese. They say that you character develops from the choices you make and something more dont remember exactly. This means for me that it will be like this: you start out as simple noob, no class no nothing, only some basic weapon. Then while you lvl up you make choice of skills and paths which leads you to a choice of class at lvl 10 i believe it was. When you choose a class your choices since then are more specific into your class but you can choose other things but it will cost you more. So with customazition, for me there wont be any problem since i believe that customazition for a FPS is huge. Once again, as sad as it is for some of players, this is NOT a MMORPG in shooting style, this is MMOFPS in RPG style.

P.S: Van nobody didn't believe that you didn't have a girlfriend, we simply didn't believe that you were bothered by her and had a lame excuse to end the post ^^
P.S.S: Hard not to find your thread not flaming concerning Huxley since you have total different view on it then rest of people do, you think of it too much in MMORPG perspective and of caurse then it's totaly different thing and you wont like it if you want a MMORPG. It's MMOFPS bro! :P
