Well can't see a reason why they should, i mean SMG and Assault Rifle might. Cause they see to be fit for Avengers. But Machine Gun is for enforcers for my opinion. Of caurse everybody will be able to have eveything but the once that should have it dont have to waste lots of points on getting the weapons. Even SMG might be for Phantoms instead of Avengers cause they seem to be more light and less firepower. So when i think of it cant see why they should fall in same category, cause it's the same with Rocket Launcher and Granade launcher, i mean you can putt them in same category but i doubt that they will do so.
About the laser rifle, it works pretty much as assault rifle but it's lasers, i dont know waht other function it has in Huxley that usual assault rifle doesnt, if it has some then it's different categories.
Well i was on the net and found this screenshot:
As you can see below he has 9 types of weapons, can't see the last once but still now you can organize the weapons =) Strange how i came by that screenshot many times and never thought of it in that way.
