Well there was a theory discussed earlier on forums, don't remember which topic but still. That when you start out the only thing you choose is if you are to be Male or Female and which race, of caurse your nickname too.
While you gain exp and go up in lvl you choose stuff you like, which detemines what you like and at some stage you choose the calss that you want to be cause you like those weapons the best. That will lead you to the best satisfaction of you choices, cause you choose waht and how all the time and in the end you can't get wrong. If it is like this then it's great cause like that you wouldn't be doubting if you want a bazooka or a sniper rifle or maybe some other fency ass weapon :P Same goes for skills.
Once again that was a theory that was discussed. Have seem a system like this one in other game, "R.O.S.E online".
