God forbid! What about summer-vacations?
I'd rather have a free server migration every 3 months. If the server you play on puts you in a queue every time when logging in, then you can move without any problems.
Or there may be a limit to how many characters (of each faction) there can be on one server. For instance: "This server has reached it's maximum population of Sapiens at the moment. Please either create a character on the Alternatives-faction, try creating a sapiens character on another server, or try again later"
About the "try again later"-part: When you stay offline for more than 3 months, your account is ser to "inactive", and so is all your characters, menaing they get removed from the server statistics, and some other guy can then create a character on your faction if it was full. Then, if you log back in again, you must activate your characters on the servers you wish to play on, and if your faction is full, you can either move to another server, or try again later.
