2. Almost with certainty, no. However, like many other MMO games certain items and accounts will end up on websites and ebay for sale. (though it usually violates the EULA).
3. Haven't heard much about it, but with all the professions in the game theres a good chance that one of them will involve repairing armor in some way or form, which would mean that theres also a good chance that armor degrades with use.
