Re: Xbox and PC, Difference In Graphics
Alright guys heres how it is.
A PC is nice and all, but if they want to make money, they have to make graphics that can be handled by an average computer because not everyone has a top of the line computer. Take WoW for instance. It's cartoony graphics allowed for those that have a not-so-good computer to run it decently, and those that have a top of the line computer to run it very nicely. But, had the game had outstanding, unbelievable graphics, then Blizzard would have lost the $15.00 a month because those that can't run the game wouldn't play. Now with a 360, the graphics are set and you can't change them, meaning there is no one 360 player that will be angered by their console not being able to run it because the developers are making it so it CAN run on the 360 with very nice graphics. You also have to consider that with 100 on 100 battles, the graphics can't be godly because if they were, there wouldn't be a computer on the face of the earth to have say, 200 GoW players at once, excluding scenery even.
Overall, my point is that they want money so what will they do? They'll set the standards at the 360 level. If your PC is worse than a 360, you're going to have to go into options and turn your graphics down to low. If your PC is better than a 360, tough luck, its going to look just like the 360. They aren't going to make better graphics for one and not for the other because that means they would have to make new models for the PC players, and that means more time, and time is money. For those that don't know, making an MMO costs a large sum of money, and by that I mean a large large sum.
And for the record PC = 360, it is all based on how you like to play. If you like a super high sensitivity and lots of extra buttons, then hit it up on your PC. But if you like the feel of a good controller in your hand, then the 360's for you. So none of that stupid PC>360 or vice versa, and from my experience, I like them both equally, it's just more difficult to keep up with the development of PC's if you're in high school like myself.
