A trial period is the norm in most Massively Multiplayer Online games, ranging anywhere from 14 days to a month, and sometimes even more.

The word so far has been that beta testing will be for Eastern audiences only, but you can always keep your fingers crossed. I don't pretend to know all the logistics involved, but it probably isn't cost effective to put out a beta release halfway across the world when a domestic gaming population can find bugs and glitches just as well.

As far as a "demo" goes, a demo copy will probably be released to gaming publications as is the norm for review shortly before release. I haven't checked my calendar for what gaming conventions are coming up, but you may want to look out for a playable version there. (Again, you'll most likely be reading about it.)

If you mean demo in the sense of a trial version of the game with limited features and room to explore, than its not very likely. While this used to be the norm for up and coming third person shooters, a full-featured trial at release is a much more likely scenario. Even more so because it is an MMO.
