Building A Gaming Computer
Well I have been playing various games and such like Wow and more recently Command and Conquer 3 on my laptop that has a geforce 6600 video card. So I decided that if I was going to play huxley the way it was intended I would need to build my own desktop.
I plan on buying the hardware a few weeks before the game comes out to get the latest hardware but also dont want to spend 1500 dollars on it. My goal is to spend right around $1000 with everything (hardware/OS).
I already have 4 gigs of DDR2 ram sitting in my room waiting to go into the Mobo whenever I buy it. The most expensive piece I plan on purchasing is a 8800gts video card as the gtx is way too expensive. Im thinking a dual core pentium processor overclocked to 3.2 ghz would be nice as long as I overclock it correctly (the one thing im not really familiar with). With a Nvidia 650i SLI mobo and a 320 gig HD it should run huxley like a champ.
Ive been hearing a lot of positive reviews on vista now that it has been out a little while so I will prob go for the system builders version.
This is the second computer I will have built and I think it looks pretty good on paper but any suggestions would be helpful and appreciated.
