that would be really cool. just make it so you have to continually maintain it to keep it useful. thats a perfect fix to keep the lag down, and to keep the map uncluttered.
And I'm not talking about things that would stop the entire game and force them into a stalemate (thought I wouldn't be against that, soemthing about long battles like trench warefare seems cool to me :D )
