Hyping a game before you even have an actual release date (as far as I know it's only by Quarters, and even then I think it's unofficial) when mean people will get burned out of Huxley before they even get to play it. By hyping close to release, it ensures that when the hype will reach it's peak somewhere around when the game is released, thus ensuring more buyers.
