Actually I was completely serious. Game developers make the AIs of npcs they way they do because it wouldn't and isnt fun to play against an AI that doesn't have alot of restrictions put on it. (Or simply parts being left out)

It would be exceedingly easy to program an AI to go after the highest value weapon (Usually a nuke or sniper rifle) and have a path node up to a vantage point overlooking a spawn area. After that, instead of putting in a massive delay for target aquisition and a heavy penalty of accuracy as well as where the AI aims, make the AI actually shoot straight and at normal speed (For it).

What you get? An ai that will grab a sniper rifle or a redeemer, sit above where you snipe and a few milliseconds after you spawn take you out with a nuke or a headshot. Your reaction times and computer lag wouldn't even register that you were alive long enough to move.

Get my drift? AIs are generall stupid yes, but like I said, they can easily be made to be more difficult, decision trees aside. I'm not even going to ask which fps' you've tried on their hardest.
