Like everyone else, I'm all for a delay if it fixes in game issues, bugs, balance, etc. But...

We all got to see that in game walkthrough at E3 2005, which showed the 3 races, a couple of scripted events, graphic shading and lighting, etc. Graphics were looking good, and at that time, the game looked close to being ready for an alpha test at least. We didn't hear much until the release of their next trailer, which stated in the middle that the game would be ready for a release around the summer of 2006. I got my next glimpse of Huxley in an issue of Game Informer in the summer of 2005 (July or August). At that time, they had the game slated for an October 17th, 2005 release. The screenshots looked pretty polished, and they had a lot of information in that 1 page article. I didn't expect for the game to be out anywhere near October, since I hadn't heard of any beta or alpha testing, the previously mentioned trailer, and their official webpage was just as worthless as it is now. Over the next couple of months we were slowly treated with a few screenshots, another small movie, and a couple of interviews, which led us to believe that things were moving along great. Most of the articles still mentioned things were in motion for a late summer/fall release of 2006. Webzen even updated their web site to say Q3 of 2006, which really made sense at that point.

Then E3 2006. We were all excited to hear that Webzen was featuring Huxley as their main attraction, and would have a playable demo of the game. Makes sense to me if you have a PLAYABLE DEMO, that you should at least be near or in the alpha testing phase, which is usually followed closely by a Beta, and then final build, which, using other MMO makers as an example, is usually a 6-8 month process from late Alpha to a final build. Using that template, it should have placed Huxley at a Q4 2006, or an early 2007 release. Even some pre-E3 interviews with Gamespot said the game was still slated for a late 2006 release, with the 360 version a few months later. We were all happy! But then, for lack of a cheesier phrase, they set us up the bomb! 2 DAYS LATER, they state that in a year and a half from now, they MIGHT have the final game ready? WTF happened to change it from a 6 month release, to a year and a half release in 2 days?!

I think that's what burns my ass the most. I've been dissapointed in push backs of games before, but this makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. I'll satisfy myself with blaming the 360 version as the setback for now. If this was going to be a PC only release, I think we would be close to playing Huxley right now.
