Imagine your walking behind somebody, entering a building or room and BAM, the person in front of you has a knife in his face, or gets bamboozled by the butt end of a rifle, lol.... that would be awesome
You should be able to use the butt of your weapon, have some throwing or stabbing knives, and even your fists....

Yeah this woudl be a direction to look into. close quarter combat. something like a chainsaw on the end of your rifle or cool looking serated knifes something for in close range.
Oh and like armorking mentioned now i picture the Rhino asaault APC from warhammer 40k. multiple hard points or firing ports like the apc's(LAV-75) from BF2
